Progressive cancelled me when I responded to their request for an "update and verification of my present HIN and Washington boat ID number. It would be interesting to learn this original HIN as well to add it as a note on our registry of Glasply HINs.I recently had my Progressive insurance cancelled because of the Washington State HIN that was "required" 2 years ago. So there will be an original HIN possibly referenced on the vessel title paperwork and possibly still legible on the starboard side of the transom. Washington state took this to be a non-conforming HIN and required owners to update their vessels’ HINs to one issued by the state (starting with WNZ, as one would receive from the state if building their own boat). A lot of the factory original Glasply HINs had a suffix (12 digit HIN followed by a hyphen and then another digit or two).
